A way, please!, to get the page order different when reading the forums. As I'm sure you're aware, some of the forums have been around a LONG time and have LOTS of pages. It would be nice to be able to read the recent entries without having to wade back through nearly 700 pages of entries up to 14 years old. This is especially true when we want to respond to recent posts. As an example, s few minutes ago, I logged into a forum snd was placed on page 1 of 680+. After I posted a reply to the most recent entry on the last page, I was sent back to - you guessed it - page 1 of 683. can we get a way to sort the pages with the most recent first instead of decades old 'page 1' first? And could there be a way to make that our personal default for that forum (or maybe all forums)? Quote

Yes, that is what I have been doing scrolling through the (increasingly lengthy) drop-down lists of page numbers; that is what I am hoping to not need to do. I think if you try participating in some of the interactive forum threads (such as Citys on Games or 4 letter words on Games, you will readily see that the current system thoroughly misdirects users from the pages they are trying to react to. Don't know exactly what you're tryin' to do, but I've learned that if you want to see the most recent reply to a thread, is you click on the date and time on the right side of the thread you want to read. Then you can backpage by using the previous button at the bottom of each page. From my experienceis much easier and quicker than starting at beginnin' and pagin' through entire thread. If that's not what you'd like to do then maybe I didn't read the request properly..
