We have 2 types of customers here:

Type 1 (95%) They come home from work and visit this website now and then, just to relax and have some fun. They spend maximum 1 hour per day on this website. This is the most important group for this website because (due to their quantity) this is the group that feeds ($$$) this website the most. Of course there are beggars and freeloaders in this group, but the group as a whole is the economic cork on which this website is floating.

Type 2 (5%) They are married with this website. They feel pity that they have a job (if they have), because deep down in their hearts, they would prefer to spend 100% of their time on this website. They observe everything in the forums and in the rooms and while they have nothing else to do, they spend their time with wordgames until their favorite models arrive.

The second group is important for specific models, but the first group is more important for a website to survive.
I understand why this website is trying to make it more attractive for the first group, even if some of the type 2 customers would leave.

Times change,the competition from other sources of adult chatsite entertainment and one perticular site which for obvious reasons cant be mentioned has forced this change.
So whether its a good idea or not is irrelevant,its a hugely competitive market and every site must evolve or risk becoming so unpopular it may aswell be extinct.
Survival of the fittest,so i think this change had to happen before it was too late.
I think too many people forget that flirt4free is not only an adult entertainment site,but also a business.
Business`s have to make difficult decisions if they are to compete against there opponents.

I know that will sound kind of off-topic but, since you guys are bringing new features to the chat could as well bring back the models whispering or just get rid of it both ends. Once e-mailed Support about it and they said the main reason it would not come back is because some models "over used" it, well HELLO-O, still happening but on chatters side now. Some people whisper from the "hello" until "thanks for your pvt", wanting or not other users feel left out even if the model doesn't mean to do that. just my

I personally think whisper chat should be removed completely because it spoils the entertainment value and annoys many of us "openly communicative" members.
I appreciate that there are many members who use whisper chat because there personality "or lack of it" means they feel uncomfortable when there in a room full of "confident strong personalitied members" and they do not like to be in groups.
Persistent whisperers have there own reasons for hiding away in whisper chat,but i think it would be a hugely positive step forward if admin finally did away with this "negative chat option" and forced the whisperers to be more social with all users of the site
Im sure the entertainment value would increase ten fold and help create an even more fun atmosphere

I agree with Mindful. I use whisper sparingly with most models, but there are times when it is useful. For example, I like to whisper to models whose English is limited and tell them ahead of time what I would like in pvt. That way, they can translate it before I go pvt, and I don't have to share the info with the entire room.

I like the idea of having the model be able to whisper. Placing some limit on the whispering would be fine though, so that not everyone whispers, which can in a room looking empty with the model typing away furiously. Quote

Letting the models have their "Whisper" back would enable some privacy to a question a "potential" customer/member might ask or keep some intimacy between a model and her regular clientele

So many reactions. This reminds me a bit when vods came. And with it the competitions. They did have positive effect on the profits people did spend more. Negative was it did, bring a lot arguments between models and members about who is the best. This brought some hostile situations with it.

You need to change your formula from time to time else you lose market share in another words "Change or die"
The market in erotic live cam entertaining has changed a lot since its beginning. In begin girls was sitting in their clothes fully dressed up. And most of them was just sitting like they had a break or something. Later girls became more professional came with stripper style moves, more nudity came in open, some was topless, on some site girls even did a pre show for free, Most of those changes gave more profits but also more begging and rudeness.

When I first heard about tip shows on other sites I really was curious how VS will handle this. I remember talking to a friend of mine and she thought flirt will go down because of it but I knew that VS has great momentum and they will cope with this situation. And this is their answer. What it does it generates more visitors and this site looked like it needed a boost.
